The Upper Deck is a practical, comfortable family and group friendly accommodation on the outskirts of Pembroke and Pembroke Dock, on the shores of the famous Milford Haven Waterway. It is the 'Upper Deck' apartment of a twin block, the other half of which is called the 'Lower Deck'. The property sits alongside 8 acres of lovely, woodland grounds suitable for gentle walking. It is perfectly situated for any type of holiday but is particularly suited to those who appreciate outdoor activities and access to the water. Upper Deck is an accessible, reasonably priced accommodation for families or groups interested in kayaking, sailing or watersports.

The accommodation forms part of a complex that comprises other bunkhouse/family accommodation, an 8 acre woodland, a versatile outdoor play area, a Watersports facility, an indoor climbing wall and a Cafe.

The property overlooks the Milford Haven estuary and is situated on the upper reaches where the famous naval vessel, HMS Warrior, was moored. Access to the public slipway is only 300 metres away from the front door. 'Upper Deck' is at the front of the complex with the estuary views and beech hedging to the front. To the rear of the property is the outdoor activity area /basketball/5 a side football/ table tennis area which can be utilised by guests. There is also a 'stone circle of Preseli blue stone' nestled at the side of the accommodation. It is a sheltered spot which would provide an area for relaxing, safe play for children, barbecue and drinks at any time of day. The adjoining woodland can be explored and has views over the western arm of the estuary. There is a picnic area within the wood including a 'giant's' table. These facilities are communal and will be shared with any other guests who book the adjoining properties.

The Upper Deck is being offered as a holiday let for up to 8 people. It comprises 1 double bedroom, 3 rooms with 2 bunk beds and 2 shower rooms. There is a communal lounge/dining area and kitchen. Lounge space limits our offer to 8, however, additional guests may be able to stay by prior arrangement and negotiation of price as there is sleeping accommodation for up to 16 people. The accommodation has 8 bedrooms in total.

The property is self catering and there is also a cafe/restaurant on site for snacks, cakes and coffee and purchase of locally sourced provisions. It may also be open for pre-booked themed evenings and exclusive use midweek, by special arrangement with the chef, for guests staying at the the accommodation. We hope we can tempt you to try out the cafe and restaurant for breakfast, ice creams or a hassle free supper. Photographs of the cafe can now be viewed on Facebook. "The Cove at Llanion Cove".

The Watersports facility is in the process of being re-registered and opened to the public. It is hoped that it may be open by late July and guests may be able to hire kayaks or canadian canoes, and life jackets. There may also be trained instructors/guides by this time on site who can arrange guided sessions. HOWEVER, THIS CANNOT BE GUARANTEED. For those guests who are planning to bring their own boats or kayaks, safe storage can be provided. The slipway can also be an access point for those who wish to bring their own sailboat or motorboat. The owners are all local individuals with an interest in, and experience of, watersports and can provide local information relating to exploration of the Cleddau river waterway. There is an indoor climbing wall on the premises but hire of this facility will be dependant on numbers and availability of instructors to offer safe, supervised coaching to individuals.

This holiday venue is particularly suited for children of all ages. A high chair and travel cot can be available and local reliable baby sitting can be arranged by the owner. Note children will need to be supervised on the premises due to the access to the water.

Nearby To Upper Deck, are numerous beautiful beaches, cycle trails and countryside walks. Activities such as Folly Farm Zoo, Oakwood Theme Park, Heatherton, Blue Lagoon, Paint Balling and the Dinosaur park are all within 20-30 minutes drive. Pottery painting and Crafting workshops can also be booked locally and Pembroke castle is nearby with themed events, falconry displays and Teddybears picnics on offer throughout the week.
